Don't fill up your schedule
Updated: Apr 7, 2021
It is very tempting to stuff your weekly schedule completely.
Looks so good.
And you also think in advance: this will all work out anyway.

But we often overestimate ourselves.
So that's point one. We think we can do more than we actually can.
Point two: there are usually unexpected things in between that you had not planned.
A request from a customer, an assignment from a colleague, new tasks that come from a meeting. That's just the way it goes.
And thirdly: you also need breaks and time for yourself and you don't have that if your schedule is fully jammed.
So my tip today is: do not fill in your weekly overview all the way to the brim.
Leave room for unexpected things and overflow.
And above all: make sure you also schedule breaks and time for yourself.
In fact, it's best if you write that down first in your schedule.
That way your planning remains feasible and realistic and ultimately also gives more satisfaction and less stress.
